Hey guys! It’s already time for another quote, and this time we’re going to be taking one from one of my favorite movies. If you didn’t know, I am pretty much obsessed with all things 80s. You might think this means that this quote will come from a movie or something from the 80s, but not this time. However, this movie/book does highlight some of the best things about the 80s, and that is Ready Player One. I LOVE this movie so much, even though it is a little cheesy and I know a lot of people don’t like it (mind you, most people I talk to who say they don’t like it for terrible reasons, but that’s none of my business). Anyway, let’s take a look at the quote!

This quote has stuck with me ever since I heard it. It goes a bit different in the movie, but the most important point is still there: reality is real. In my high school years I began to really fall into using books and video games as escapism. Today, I still struggle with that. While it can be a good thing to use something fictional as a hiding place, it’s important to know that we shouldn’t stay there. Maybe fictional worlds feel more exciting, but there is so much out there for us in the real world. We just have to search for it, work for it, and hold on to it.
