Hey there! If you’ve got a geek in your life you are struggling to shop for, look no further than this post! For Blogmas day nine, I’ll be sharing some geeky gifts that will be sure to bring a smile to any gamer’s face. And trust me, as a geeky gamer myself, I know I’d love to receive any of these items! Take a look!
Gaming Headset
With a gaming headset, gamers can communicate with their buddies while playing in a group! You can get these from Target, GameStop, and, of course, Amazon. I have yet to get myself a good headset (mostly because I have my eyes set on the very expensive Sony rose-gold headset, but we won’t talk about that!), but seeing how often my brother uses his, I know they are very useful when you have friends you like to play with!
Gaming Chair
This is another item that I have yet to get for myself, and that is because most good gaming chairs are quite expensive. However, I’m putting this on the list for those of you who have no other ideas for the geeks in your family, and you’re desperate to find something! You can find all kinds of gaming chairs on Amazon, and I’ve even seen Costco carry some pretty cool ones!
LED Lights
I recently got LED light strips for my birthday back in October. I have yet to put them anywhere, but I have seen them in action thanks to my brother and sister having some as well. They have multiple colors and settings, which is really cool! Depending on what brand you get, they can even sense sound and it will change colors to the beat of songs you might be listening to! You can also stick the strips anywhere, whether it be on the wall, your TV, or wherever else you see fit! The strips can also be cut, but you’ll want to be careful with that since one side of the strip will be damaged.
Funko Pops
You can’t go wrong with Funko Pops! These are highly collectible bobble heads that come in pretty much any character you can think of from books, movies/TV shows, and video games. They even have Funko Pops of real people! I have a handful of them, and they’re really fun to display! If you haven’t considered giving a Funko Pop to the geek(s) in your family, check out all the different characters they have on Amazon!
Charging Station
Some console remotes, such as ones for the PlayStation 4, do not use batteries and need to be charged. This can get quite annoying sometimes, and that’s why I think a charging station for console remotes would be an awesome thing to have! I’ve seen some around on Amazon, so if they sound interesting, totally check them out!
Tiny Atari/Retro Arcade
If you haven’t seen these yet, then prepared to be amazed! There are these miniature versions of arcade games, such as Pac-Man and Frogger, and they are super cute, not to mention a lot of fun! There’s all different assortments of them, so there’s a few to choose from!
On the other hand, it was yesterday that the existence of the Tiny Atari, which is probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. If you have never seen it before, then please Google it, because it is just adorable! It comes with a tiny TV, and, of course, the Atari, with a very tiny controller. The best part? It actually works! You can get tiny games to play on it, and I believe it would be a great gift for a geek!
Personalized Jewelry
This one is always exciting for me! When it comes to jewelry, there’s lots of different things you could do! My grandma always gets me the greatest video game jewelry, and its usually Kingdom Hearts related, haha! If you’ve got a geek who likes jewelry, you can get them something related to their favorite game! For instance, my favorite earrings are keyblades, which my grandma got me a couple of years ago for Christmas! Getting jewelry that is related to your favorite game can be really special!
Decals
This is another fun one! Places like Redbubble sell decals that are related to video game stuff, or just geeky stuff in general! Decals can go on water bottles, notebooks, journals, etc. Last year for Christmas, my sister (who you all know as the amazing artist who designs my short story covers) created a decal of my favorite Fire Emblem: Three Houses character, Prince Dimitri. He has been sticking to my computer ever since!
That’s that! Sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect gift for the geeky gamers in your family, so I hope this helped you to get some ideas! If you’ve got any other cool ideas for the perfect gifts for geeks, let me know in the comments below! I’ve been really enjoying all your comments!
As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
Note: Since tonight is the Game Awards, I will be posting a second post once I have finished watching the show. It is unrelated to Blogmas, and will simply be an overview of everything that happened at the awards. Keep a lookout for it!
