Top Five Things That I’m Excited About In 2019

It’s a new year, fellow geeks!  And new years mean new things to geek about, doesn’t it?  This years looks like it’s going to be pretty awesome and there are so many things that I’m excited about and in this post I’m going to list the top five things that I cannot wait to see!  From movies to books to video games, here’s the list…

 

6. Star Wars Celebration

Every year this is something that I look forward to…except for last year, because it didn’t happen last year.  Sure, I’ve never been able to go in person, but I’m always there to watch the live stream.  And I mean ALWAYS.  Like, when the celebration was in London one year, I woke up at three in the morning to watch the live stream.  So worth it!  This year Star Wars Celebration is going to Chicago and I can only guess the things that could happen.  One thing that I’m a little jealous about of the people who are going is that they’ll get to see a bunch of writers.  Timothy Zahn, my FAVORITE author, is going to be there. and I wish that I could just warp to Chicago or something.  Next up, I’m pretty sure they’ll release some Star Wars 9 stuff, like a teaser maybe?  Anyways, I will definitely be watching the live stream!  And if you’re going, let me know in the comments what you really want to see at the celebration!

 

5. How to Train You Dragon 3

One of my favorite works of DreamWorks is How to Train Your Dragon.  I have been waiting a VERY long time for the third movie, but I am a bit sad that this will be the last one.  And if the second one is already that sad, then I’m guessing this one will bring the waterworks something awful.  I’m really bad about things like that.  According to the trailers, this one looks like it’s going to be incredible, but if it can top the first one, then it’ll really be something cool.  Which has been your favorite so far?  Let me know it the comments!  Also, you can watch the trailer below…

 

 

4. Thrawn: Treason

Now here’s something that I flipped out about when it was revealed.  Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn books are not going to end with Thrawn: Alliances, but will move on to the next part of Thrawn’s story.  These books have been some of the greatest books that I’ve ever read, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve read a TON of books. You know what I’m going to say now, don’t you?  Tell me what has been your favorite Thrawn book so far in the comments!

 

3. Star Wars 9

Ever since Star Wars 8, people have lost hope for Star Wars.  Okay, don’t judge, but I actually enjoyed that movie.  There were parts that I questioned and didn’t like, but over all it was a good movie.  So yes, I am really excited for Star Wars 9 and I wish they would come out with at least a little teaser.

 

2. The Clone Wars Season 7

I can not tell you how much I freaked when this was revealed.  I kinda lost my mind there for a few minutes.  I am soooooooooo excited to see the next season of The Clone Wars!  I thought this would never happen, but here we are!  I wonder if this will even be the last season…Are you as excited as I am about this?  I should think so!  Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

1. Kingdom Hearts 3

I am about to lose my mind waiting for this!  I mean, how long has it been since this game was announced?  Before I say anything else, I’m going to confess something; I have only beat the first Kingdom Hearts and I’ve seen all the cut scenes for Chain of Memories.  But don’t freak, because I am really close to beating Kingdom Hearts 2, if I could only figure out how to beat Xigbar…ugh.  I’m trying to play through the games as fast as I can, so wish me luck.  I will say that I sat up forever last night trying to figure out the game’s chess trailer, and I’ve got some theories….lots of theories.  I am a huge fan of this series, and it means a lot to me, so I can’t wait to see what comes next.  Let me know you’re favorite Kingdom Hearts game in the comments!  And you can see the chess trailer below (Tell me what you think about it!)…

How to Train Your Dragon will be in theaters everywhere starting on February 22,

Thrawn: Treason will be released July 23,

Star Wars 9 will release on December 20,

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is thought to be released on August 15, but we’ll see

Kingdom Hearts 3 will finally make it’s grand entrance on January 29,
